Following the launch of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in the United States on September 20th, Apple has announced that it will begin phase 2 and phase 3 of the new devices rollout in the coming weeks. On Friday, October 25th, Apple will launch the 5s and 5c in 25 new countries, with a dozen more gaining the devices on Friday, November 1st. October 25th countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand....

Another estimate on iPhone shipments for Q1 2019 (Apple’s Q2) is out today, this time from Canalys. The firm’s numbers show a little better news for Apple compared to the 30% drop in shipments estimated by IDC yesterday. Foxconn earnings and expectations for the rest of the year suggest that iPhone 12 demand is set to remain high through the first half of the year.
