Robert Downey Jr.’s cheeseburger scene in Iron Man held a much deeper meaning than initially thought. Over a decade later, Downey would be known as one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars for continuously reprising his role as Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. The character gave his life in a heroic sacrifice to take down Thanos in Avengers: Endgame but there’s still a chance Downey could return to the MCU....

There’s not a whole lot here that we haven’t heard before, but today Nikkei Asian Review reports that orders into component suppliers indicate Apple’s next-gen iPhone will debut as early as September in two new screen sizes. Some users are now complaining about a noticeable green tint on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max displays. The problem seems to occur randomly after unlocking the device, and it may be related to a software bug. Reports about the greenish screen effect have been shared on Reddit (via MacRumors), and it seems that the problem mostly affects iPhone 11 models. Yep, after being all set to buy the iPhone 12 mini – the phone I’d wanted for years – I found myself going to the opposite end of the range: pre-ordering the largest model, not the smallest. Two weeks ago, we reported that an iPhone survived six months at the bottom of a lake. Now, a new story shows an iPhone 11 Pro that survived a 30-day dive in a deep-freezing lake in Canada. CTV News reports that a woman named Angie Carriere was celebrating her 50th birthday in an ice fishing spot in Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan when she accidentally dropped her iPhone 11 Pro into the lake....

There’s a new image making the rounds online purporting to be the Geekbench results of the upcoming iPhone 8. The image shows off the iPhone 8’s supposed speed bump in both single-core and multi-core scores. The single-core speeds show a jump of nearly 30%, and the multi-core by nearly 50%. While these lightning speeds are enough to make any soon-to-be-upgrader happy, they’re unfortunately fake.
